A TRANSITIONAL TREND BLAZING TRAILS FOR SPRING FASHION
Fresh off the press… It’s SPRING! Cue, awkward happy dance! Side note, I’ve seriously considered joining a hip hop class of some sort in hopes that one day, I’ll look half as good as I feel when I’m bustin’ a move. But until then, it’s time to break out the shorts, sundresses, and let those ice cream trucks lose. We kind of live in a neighborhood now so, I have this faint feeling one will jingle by, I’ll get a rainbow snow cone and my childlike heart will do a little dance of its’ own. Speaking of shorts, I found the best pair of cut off denim high rise shorts from Agolde! They hug your waist, not your thighs and don’t give you that short shorts look, even for us long-legged lassies! I’ve struggled with my clothes showing a little too much leg for years, these denim shorts are a win!

THE BLAZER EDITION
Now the real reason we’re here. The Boyfriend Blazer! The tailored piece that makes every look, look effortlessly chic. There are a few things you can wear with both cutoff shorts and trousers. No wonder this trend that’s always in style.
Lulus has a great selection of blazers too. I couldn’t include them in the roundups below!
My favorites have patterns like tweed, plaid, houndstooth, and herringbone. The ones that look like they could have been your grandpas or boyfriends —pending your man is super stylish and old school— and magically has this feminine twist that fits you just a touch oversized. That’s the look I love! Since my grandpa needs his jackets, and my husband doesn’t have any…I’ve turned the fashion gurus of the world who knew there were ladies like me out there, boyfriend blazerless. I’ve made a killer collection of favorites below!
I go kinda crazy over textures. Especially come spring and summer, linen gives me goosebumps! I love the rawness of it. These are my favorite finds where you can see the difference in the weave of the fabric. Mostly a collection of linen, velvet, and corduroy pieces.
After all, it is spring —feels good to even type!— and pastels put an extra pep in my step. Brights are of course, in for the season so I couldn’t help but dedicate a section too them. I’ve been particularly drawn to the light pinks and yellows.
Hope this collection helps you blaze your own trail of Spring trends.
