SOAK UP THE BEST OF SCOTTSDALE
So, Scottsdale was a spontaneous trip for me. I wasn't sure what to expect but it only took a few hours out and about looking for lunch to realize, this city is AWESOME! Camelback Mountain overlooks the city — y’all know mountains are my favorite—and hotels, shops, and restaurants are all down one street so you can bounce around experiencing everything with ease. I think our most used phrase was “ I wish we had a few more days here.” Scottsdale is a great getaway because you can do it all without the crowds and prices of a big city. I’m talking views via hot air balloon, relaxing resorts, fresh food, and events. This is the spot!
I’m already dying to go back with so much to scout our for y’all and so little time., I could have used just one more day. Molly, Meghan and I were like wild women for the 2 1/2 days we were there. Finding, capturing, and sharing all we could, there was even some appropriate animal print involved. Scottsdale so to enjoy, I hope these recommendations help you to soak it all up!

WHERE TO STAY
THE ANDAZ — This is where we unpacked for a few days in paradise. The resort is set up like bungalows, each having a few rooms making it great for groups and privacy. I loved our mid-century desert themed room and the cactus-lined walk to the pool— where we hung out quite a bit. Fun fact, it’s heated to a refreshing temperature, especially helpful for our February trip. We loved our stay here honestly, the staff was so incredibly kind and helpful and the resort is stunning! It right down the street from shops and restaurants, looks out on Camelback mountain and has all the perks of a great restaurant and spa.
THE OAKLEY B&B — This boutique BnB changed my life. Or at least was a pretty darn good picture of what I want life to look like in my next home. They didn’t miss a beat! There are 4 bedrooms with a loft that has two additional twin beds. The master bathroom and more specifically bathtub is so spacious and stunning with its fringed towels and fiddle leaf fig. Did I mention there is a pool (heated), surround sound and entire backyard set for entertaining? Well, there is! This would be a great place to gather with friends or for family getaway and it just a few minutes from all the restaurants.l
HOTEL ADELINE — We didn’t get to visit, but just about everyone we spoke to recommended it. It seems to have a cool modern retro vibe going with bright white, leather and pops of colors. The pool area and restaurant bar look fabulous too, everything is very aesthetically pleasing. Also, it’s dog-friendly if you’re traveling with your furry friend!
WHERE TO EAT
There is no shortage of restaurants, each with their own fresh food and unique aesthetic.
THE MONTAUK — This was my favorite restaurant! It has an east coast beach vibe with white wicker and wood, sprinkle in a little velvet and tiled fireplace outside and voila, picture perfect! We swung by for a drink after brunch and there was great acoustic live music playing. If you want a darling place to relax and enjoy some food and drinks, this is it!
FARM & CRAFT— Right in the middle off all the quaint shops and restaurants is Farm + Craft. Super fresh food with fun drinks. If you ask me, the best of both worlds. You could easily keep it clean and healthy or indulge, pending your vacation cravings.
WEFT & WARP ART BAR + KITCHEN — Inside the Andaz, overlooking the pool with a warm and modern design. We enjoyed a little happy hour snacking here and savored every bite of their locally inspired southwest styled cuisine. I also might have had my favorite cocktail yet! Y’all know I’m a scotch lover and I typically like it on the rocks and don’t enjoy it in cocktails or mixed drinks. We’ll out super sweet waitress talked me into their "penicillin" cocktail made with scotch and it was to die for! So refreshing didn’t even really have a scotch taste so I think everyone should try it, scotch lovers and haters!
HASH KITCHEN — Straight up the biggest bloody marry I’ve ever seen. The best part is, you get to pick and customize the toppings — 4 bacon piece, please! If you’re hungry and feeling lively, this is your spot. There’s a DJ that comes in and flights of cereal shots (that taste just like fruity pebbles and captain crunch milk) but the line starts at 10 AM so get there early. Or don’t and enjoy your bloody in the parking lot, because you totally can!
