STOCKING UP FOR SPRING!
How are those Spring wardrobes coming along?! Stocking up on all the stripes and pastels? We are just about ready to trade our winter coats in for trenches and dusters — my favorite of all the jackets— here in Nashville. Which is all too exciting after this wild winter we’ve all had, ‘em I right? Gus and I are still in shock we were just a few months away from enduring the -40° temps in Chicago. Y’all are troopers! But Spring is just over the horizon and we can slowly start shedding those layers and breaking out the shorts, skirts, and dressing we’ve been drooling over all winter. Which is why I love this Shopbop sale! I can put action to my excitement and save while I shop.
Gus and I have never agreed on the term “save” in relation to sales and shopping. He thinks I’m spending (and technically he’s not wrong) but I know what I’m going to need, wear, and eventually buy so if I can get it for less… I’m totally saving! Who’s with me?
2019 SPRING FASHION TRENDS
In 2019. spring fashion trends will be favoring brights pastels, neons, and even neutrals—hip hip hurray for all of us neutral fashion fanatics. There’s even a tie-dye trend I can jump on board for. Animal prints are still going strong and ruffles are coming in hot! When it comes to accessories, tortoise has taken the lead and basket/bamboo bags are as trendy as ever. I have a few favorite basket bags below or check out this post for a full roundup op woven wonders1
I spent all morning picking out the best pieces from the Shopbop sale for y’all. There were a few designers that just kept popping up with a great Spring collection, so I’ll leave them below you can have a look for yourself too!
FAITHFULL THE BRAND— I can’t remember the last time one of their pieces didn’t catch my eye! I plan on grabbing a dress to be one of my stable pieces all season long.
JOIE — Joie has a little bit of everything. The sneakers, snake print, stripes, and dresses. The price point is a little higher but the sale should help with that!
ENGLISH FACTORY— Their designs are just darling! I already have this dress and plan on ordering this one tonight! I think you’ll love their selection of classic prints and detailed designs. Oh, and their price point is under $100 or close to it!
MINKPINK— So affordable and so FUN! I love their romper and stripe designs.
RE: NAMED— Rockin’ the neon and animal prints, pretty darn well! I have this leopard skirt of theirs that is only $50 and wear it all the time with a white-t, denim jacket or sweater.
KAANAS— I saved at least 4 of their basket bags before realizing they were all by KAANAS! You’re going to love their unique designs!
SHASHI— One of my favorite affordable jewelry brands! You’ll find all your tortoise needs there with a good mixture of staple and statement pieces.
