Starting our morning nice and slow, we moseyed to the kitchen for some buttery croissants and of course... more espresso! Today we would explore Montmartre, an old and lovely part of Paris!
The metro system in Paris so easy to use, one of the many perks of the city! We jumped on the nearest one and took it to Sacré Coeur, which is easy to find. It's a tourist spot so it has a large icon on the metro maps. This beautiful monument looks over the entire city of Paris. If you walk behind it, past all the tourist shops, it will get a little more charming each step you take. Cobble stone streets and ivy covered houses, lead you to the infamous La Maison Rose, a little pink café that sits on a corner. From there I recommend getting lost, the more you wander, the more you will find.
After Montmartre we took the metro to a beautiful park right outside of the city. Bois De Boulogne is the perfect place for a walk, picnic, or taking out a little row boat. I was hoping for a casual row around the lake myself, but, November seemed to be too late in the season. Here is a website I found with lots of helpful information if you plan on visiting this Parisian park.
