STAYING WARM WITH FUN LAYERS
As much as I wish my white buns were warm and sandy, they simply are not. I've been in Chicago and New York this year; both are teasing me with frostbite and temperatures in the single digits. BRRRR! So, until it's time to thaw out, I'll be bundling up. Keeping warm with layers and making it fun with some fringe!
A few days ago I failed at cleaning out my closet. I had a glass of wine, Shania Twain bumping and motivating intentions built up. I was feeling F-I-N-E! Until five minutes later, full of excuses and anxiety I bagged up ONE measly top to donate. I admit I have a problem... but, while I was elbows deep in neutral sweaters I realized how strikingly similar most of my wardrobe is. You could guess that 90% of it is white, black, blue, gray or blush, and you would be 100% correct. But I noticed I have a lot of simple and almost no statement pieces! There were about 5 grey sweaters that serve the same purpose but only two fun unique tops I loved. It was then and there I decided I had enough. Enough of the same... if I were to get anything new it needed to make a statement! I don't need more, if anything at all I just want unique. Then I stumbled across this cozy fringe cardigan!
I'm using the term need loosely here... I have more than I could ever really need. Jesus fills that void and provides for me daily when I let Him. My love and appreciation for fashion is just fine when my priorities and contentment are in God.
