A LONG WEEKEND IN CHATTANOOGA
Everyone loves a weekend getaway, especially when that weekend stretches through Tuesday! A few extra days for travel are a perfect excuse to hit the road and explore a new city. Gus and I drove down to Chattanooga for a little family vacation, complete with coffee shops, breweries, ice cream and fireworks. So naturally, I want to share it with you all!
The drive wasn't exactly picture perfect for a 4th of July road trip. We drove through the mountains in what I would describe as a monsoon... but the sun somehow peaked through long enough each day to explore and enjoy the city! We spent most of our time in the up-and-coming South side and historically charming Northern part of the city. The best of both worlds!
On the Northern end of town there's a lovely river walk and strip of shops and restaurants. I found this flowy blue floral dress at a boutique called Belle Rive Boutique. They have a great selection of unique hand-picked pieces. I also satisfied my love for dainty gold jewelry; the kind you wear everyday to compliment your entire wardrobe! At a boutique called Homegrown Silver and Stone, I found some minimal solid and twisted gold rings for under $10...dreamy. (picture above)
Four days of festivities fly by and here I am starting my week on a Wednesday... no Monday blues here! I could honestly use a few days of routine, anyone else guilty of overindulging over the holiday? I'm still a little full from all the ice cream, hotdogs, and doughnuts. Charming towns have the best treats! Hopefully you all found a way to enjoy the long weekend with a little self-control, but if not, know you're not alone! We have two more days to reset until it's time for another eventful weekend in July! Happy Hump Day!
