When I was younger, I distinctly remember my favorite denim jacket; it was embroidered with the entire Winnie-the-Pooh clan on the back, who could forget that? I secretly think that may have been what caught my husband's eye all those years ago. We met back in 1st grade, though he played it cool until high school, it turns out he was a huge Pooh Bear fan... what a hunk! Well, I slowly reached for my embroidered denim less and less until the pressures of grade school ripped America's favorite honey eating bear out of my wardrobe forever. As I'm sure you have noticed, Tigger and Winnie may not be back, but embroidery and denim are!
I've developed a new appreciation for denim this year; so much creativity can go into the shade, shape and design! Sadly those designs can run you a pretty penny. So, I went for a classic denim jacket with a slightly washed and vintage shade to pair with an embroidered bag. If you're not looking to spend big on the seasons trends, then spend small by accessorizing with them! Easy fix, with much less commitment and cost. Other than the shoes and jeans, everything in this post is under $40 and even those are under $100!
I have to mention, this denim jacket is really soft and comfortable! When I was in New York with Jules Hunt, we unexpectedly came across it and each bought one! Since then, I wear it at home, on planes, and pretty much everywhere in-between! I'll be holding onto this staple item for years.
I also really love Zara’s collection of embroidered pieces!
