MONOCHROME FOR FALL
I’ve found myself frequenting New York this year and really LOVING it! Each visit has been somewhat spontaneous and completely different. There’s an endless amount of food to try, places to see, and streets to walk, I eat up the variety…literally! So this time, we packed a basket for a crisp day in Central Park and enjoyed the best of both worlds!
My friend Anna and I were blessed with a beautiful fall morning and what better way to spend it than a picnic in Central Park! I’d take any excuse to linger and lounge in the beauty of the falling leaves, rowboats and Manhattan skyline; doughnuts and roses just put me over the moon! If you’re making a trip to New York City, a picnic is the BEST way to enjoy the Central Park and find a calming escape from the bustle of busy streets.
WHERE TO GET THE GOODS
New York is full of local bakeries and restaurants you could stop by to fill your empty picnic basket, but if you’re looking for a one stop shop… Whole Foods! This isn’t a sponsored post, but we did find our bag, plate, pastries (from local bakeries) and fruit there. There’s a Whole Foods right on the Southwest corner of the park, so we strolled by on our way in and got everything we needed for our spontaneous picnic! So easy, and they had doughnuts from my favorite New York shop, Dough…YUM!
WHAT TO WEAR
I’m pretty sure I say this a lot, but this might be my favorite outfit yet! It’s easy, classy, comfortable and monochrome…neutrals all around! The fabric of this skirt is really fun too and great for all year round. The best part, is the slight asymmetric detail, a little unique charm to a classy midi skirt. It fits very true to size too; I’m wearing a small.
This sweater is a seasonal staple! It comes in a few colors, goes with everything and is under $50… sign me up! I really like how the wrist fit more tailored for a slight balloon effect, just the tiniest wrist detail, but I really love it! Finally, the shoes, I adore them. I strolled all around Central Park in them with no blisters either, so comfort test… check! They’re the perfect off white hue so I wear them with everything making them one of my other favorites finds this season.
